MEMORY OMEGA EXTRACT / 1701-D BLUE TEAM LOG: RIKER

SD44797.4

Lieutenant Commander Data has detected a large command cascade in the ship’s computer, ordered by Chief Engineer LaForge. After calling down to engineering, LaForge confirmed the package is part of an unscheduled diagnostics routine.

You’ve got to do better than that, Geordi.

I asked Mister Data to identify the first few orders in the cascade. As soon as I heard that the first order was a disabling of all shipboard phasers I instituted a command lockout on Commander LaForge. He won’t be able to replicate a glass of water let alone get control of Enterprise.

Stopping the cascade wasn’t easy, but Data managed it. Not before the first dozen commands were instituted. They include turbolift and force field control, which has effectively trapped us on the bridge.

We’re unable to reverse these controls at the moment. I’ve ordered all security team to apprehend LaForge. All remaining command functions have been localized to the bridge only and voice locked.

The only way…

The…uh…only…anes…anes…anesthazine…gas…Damn it, Geord--

RECORDING DISRUPTED.
